Vina Nadjibulla is Co-Founder and CEO of the Centre for Strategic Statecraft, an independent, non-partisan policy institution focused on strengthening Canada’s capacity to think and act strategically in a more competitive and uncertain world. Previously, she served as Vice-President, Research & Strategy at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, where she led the Foundation’s research, policy, and programmatic work on Canada’s engagement with Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
Vina brings more than two decades of experience in diplomacy, advocacy, and program management, with work spanning the United Nations, governments, think tanks, philanthropy, non-profit organizations, and social enterprises. She is a frequent media commentator on Canada’s foreign policy and geopolitics and has appeared on CNBC, Deutsche Welle, CBC, CNA, Al Jazeera, and other Canadian and international outlets.
Vina is a Senior Research Fellow at the Soufan Center, a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, and a contributing writer for Policy Magazine. She has taught at the University of British Columbia and holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Born in the Soviet Union, raised in Afghanistan, and educated in the United States, Vina is now a Canadian citizen.
