Jennifer Jaeger graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2020 receiving a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Honours International Development – Practice Specialization (Dean’s Honours List) with a minor in Geography and Environmental Management. During her studies, Jennifer also completed a Global Experience Certificate and a Certificate in German Language, studying abroad in both Sweden and Germany and completing a 7-month work placement in Vietnam. She was also an involved executive member of University of Waterloo Campus Compost.
Jennifer is looking to build upon her education and experiences with a Master of International Public Policy at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She plans to pursue specializations in international environmental policy and human security to expand her knowledge of the intersectionality between the two topics.
Following completion of the program, Jennifer hopes to influence changes to stagnant government policies and the implementation of new policies (government- or organization-level) that will mitigate climate change and help humans adapt to the inevitable changes caused by climate change (i.e. disaster risk management).
