Khai Phan recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy.
During his time there, he developed an interest in public policy, specifically in the international economy and its impact on Canadians. He is particularly intrigued by the recent exponential increase in natural disasters and their intersection with the Canadian economy. This is a primary research topic he aims to delve into during his tenure at the MIPP. As a result, he plans to specialize in International Economic Relations and International Environmental Policy to further explore this subject.
In the future, Khai aspires to work at Global Affairs Canada or Environment and Climate Change Canada to apply his theoretical knowledge. He is passionate about influencing change by analyzing existing policies and formulating new ones. His goal is to not only align Canada with its climate objectives but also to foster sustainable economic growth.
