Emmanuella Kanoba is a Master of Arts student in Global Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. After completing her undergraduate studies, she obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in the Portuguese Language.
She previously worked in Nigeria’s civil service as a Foreign Service Officer. Her role involved supporting regional cooperation, diplomatic representation, and policy processes within West Africa. This experience provided her with firsthand insight into the operations of multilateral institutions and the challenges of regional and international collaboration.
Her research interests include the evolving role of multilateral institutions, regionalism, and the impact of shifting global power structures on international cooperation. At BSIA, she is particularly interested in exploring how these institutions can remain relevant and effective in an increasingly complex and contested global order.
