Emily Kelndorfer

Emily Kelndorfer is a graduate student in the Master of International Public Policy program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She recently graduated from the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with distinction. During her undergraduate career, Emily was actively involved in various student groups; most notably, she was a senior section editor for the Political Science Undergraduate Review. Her studies led to an interest in international relations and public policy, specifically at the intersection of human rights and the impact of international policies in rural areas.

During the Master of International Public Policy, Emily aims to deepen her understanding of public policy and its implementation, with a focus on how public policy can be created and operationalized to ensure that those in rural areas benefit from policies as much as urban areas do. Upon completion of the program, she would like to focus her professional career on addressing inequities between rural and urban public policy, specifically in social services and human rights.
