Daniela Mendoza Ramirez

Master of Arts in Global Governance

Daniela Mendoza graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bechelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Spanish Language and Literature in 2024. Her research interests include International Political Economic and Diplomacy.

During her Bachelor’s, she had the opportunity to complete two work experiences focused on International Trade. During eight months, Daniela worked in the Embassy of Canada to Spain and Andorra in Madrid, Spain where she learned about the work carried out by the Trade Commissioner Service to support Canadian businesses who want to expand their international reach in the sectors of Agri-food and Fish and Seafood, Transportation, Clean Technologies and Foreign Direct Investment. She later went on to completed a four-month placement at Global Affairs Canada in the North American Trade Negotiations division, where she had the opportunity to learn about the work behind the negotiation and implementation of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). These experiences encouraged her to pursue a Master’s degree to complement her professional experiences.

As a BSIA student, Daniela hopes to expand her knowledge and continue developing her research skills in her areas of interest.
