Bria Wong-Armstrong

Combine tenacity, creativity, and fearlessness, and you have Bria. While serving as the Director of Commerce and Communications at Woven International, Bria took on challenging responsibilities, such as engaging Canadians with anti-human trafficking efforts in Southeast Asia and running a social enterprise selling goods handmade by survivors of exploitation.

She is a master communicator, energizing leader, and skillful strategist. Her passion for both community-level and international development has guided her career over the past 5 years across the public service and nonprofit sectors. Bria’s specialty is translating ambitious, mission-driven visions into practical, operational realities through stakeholder engagement, program design, and building empowered teams.

Now in the midst of her Master of Development Practice at the University of Waterloo, Bria is enjoying the opportunity to explore the leading edge of the industry she has dedicated her career to. In her studies, she is particularly focused on furthering her expertise in the intersectionality of women’s rights and sustainable development.

Bria is a proud alum of the University of Alberta where she received her Bachelor of Commerce. Now based in Kitchener, Ontario, she loves transforming her RAV4 into a campervan for road trip adventures, enjoying her local bagel spot, or reading a copious number of books. Want to connect?
