Dr. Artie Ng brings an interdisciplinary research focus on sustainability performance and the low-carbon economy. He began his professional career in project finance for energy initiatives with multinational firms across the Asia-Pacific region, before transitioning to academia. His academic portfolio spans university teaching, policy research, and program development. Dr. Ng has published extensively in high-impact journals such as Energy Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Intellectual Capital, Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. He has also co-edited four books on sustainable energy, green finance, technological innovation for sustainability, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dr. Ng received his PhD in Management of Technology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He has held Visiting Professor/Scholar positions at the University of Bergamo (Italy), Kansai University (Japan), and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). He was previously a Senior Research Fellow with the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy and served as an International Associate at the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR), University of St Andrews, Scotland. More recently, he is the inaugural Dean of the International Business University in Toronto, Canada. He serves as Deputy Editor for both the International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management and the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. Dr. Ng sits on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors at CareFirst Seniors and Community Services Association, a not-for-profit organization and a North York Toronto Health Partner.
