This talk presents findings from the Waterloo Region International Student Survey, a survey that was open to post-secondary international students living or studying in Waterloo Region with over 500 students participating in the survey. The survey was conducted by the Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership and the International Migration Research Centre, together with Conestoga College, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the local Town & Gown committee.
The presentation will provide an overview of the findings from the survey regarding international student experiences of living in the region, challenges, strengths, and ideas for improvement and followed by a discussion of what this means for our community and post-secondary institutions.
