Export Permits for Cultural Products: Sovereignty, Security, or Strategy?

This event is open to the BSIA and CIGI community, including all UW and Laurier faculty and students.

Patricia Goff is a professor in the Department of Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University and at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She has held visiting positions at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and the University of Southern California’s School of International Relations. Her published work explores the politics of trade, with a special focus on trade and culture; the political economy of satellite museums; the trade policies of sub-national actors (with Jörg Broschek); and cultural diplomacy. Her recent work examines differing approaches to the regulation of cultural property exports.
