About the speaker

Sonny LoSonny Lo is Professor and Deputy Director at HKU SPACE. He graduated from University of Waterloo (UW) for his Master degree in political science in 1986 and taught at UW Department of Political Science from 2004 to 2010, before he relocated to work at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. His published books include earthquake management in China, cross~border crime and organized crime in Greater China, the politics of policing in Greater China, democracy movement in Hong Kong, casino capitalism in Macau, and China’s united front work and its policy toward Hong Kong and Taiwan.
