Sa’ad is a Master of Development Practice candidate at the University of Waterloo, with an academic background in Political Science, International Development, and International Studies. His interests centre on international development, public policy, governance, and international cooperation, particularly how policy can better reflect the realities and priorities of the communities it is intended to serve. He is interested in approaches to development that move beyond top-down solutions and instead empower communities to participate meaningfully in shaping their own futures. Through his studies and engagement in the development sector, Sa’ad hopes to explore how stronger connections between local knowledge, policy, and international cooperation can contribute to more inclusive and sustainable outcomes.
