Armandeep Dhillon

Armandeep Dhillon is a graduate student in the Master of International Public Policy program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber and a diploma in Police Foundations from Humber Polytechnic. His undergraduate studies developed his interests in public policy, community safety, justice, and policing.

Alongside his academic studies, Armandeep serves as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. His military experience has strengthened his interest in national security, defence policy, international security, and Canada’s role in global affairs.

Armandeep has also been actively involved in community service and youth engagement. He founded and led the Campus Cares Drive, a community food-drive initiative that brought together students, volunteers, and community partners. He has worked in youth outreach, supporting at-risk youth and young people involved with the justice system, and has contributed to community initiatives through the Brampton West Youth Council. Through his community involvement, he has also worked alongside Members of Parliament and Members of Provincial Parliament on youth engagement, community outreach, and public-service initiatives.

Armandeep’s research interests include conflict and security, Canadian defence and foreign policy, international institutions, diplomacy, justice, and public safety. Through the MIPP program, he hopes to strengthen his understanding of how law and public policy shape domestic and international institutions. His long-term goal is to pursue a Juris Doctor (JD) and a career in law, drawing on his background in justice, public policy, community service, and national security.
