Jim Reid is Executive Vice President, Sustainability and Chief Legal Officer at Fortis Inc., one of North America’s leading regulated electric and gas utilities. In his role, he oversees legal and governance matters, sustainability, government relations, talent management and communications. Prior to joining Fortis, Jim was a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto, where his practice focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and corporate governance. As a member of the Inaugural Advisory Forum, Jim brings senior leadership experience in utility governance, sustainability strategy, corporate policy, regulatory affairs and the role of major utilities in Canada’s clean energy and electrification future.
