Britney Raby graduated with a Political Science degree from the University of Windsor. Long-term travel outside of North America early in her university career inspired her academic focus on International Relations topics. The courses that Britney took as a part of her undergraduate degree inspired her interest in broad topics related to global governance, from economics to history, and ignited her particular interest in women’s role within them. After working with several non-governmental organizations abroad, Britney became interested in themes related to the relationship between conflict and gender, intrigued by how women are often affected by conflicts in unique ways. She hopes to study this phenomenon further during her time at the Balsillie. In addition to studying and talking about global affairs, Britney likes to spend her spare time hiking and scuba diving.
