Saihaj Kaur Rehsi holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph, graduating with distinction in Honours Political Science Co-op. Her research interests include globalization and power distribution as they relate to the economy, society, international organizations, and more. She is also generally interested in trade & development, and social justice. Over her undergrad years, Saihaj had the opportunity to get hands-on experience through her co-op semesters, including working with an NGO in Kuwait and with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) in Ottawa. Over the past year, Saihaj has been working at GAC, primarily on the Canada-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement negotiations, as well as on the implementation of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and Canada’s relations with the United Arab Emirates.
In her graduate research, Saihaj hopes to continue to build connections with BSIA fellows, expand her research in the relationship between globalization and power distribution, and diversify her research interests.
