Master of International Public Policy, 2024

Libbey Dresser is a current graduate student in the International Public Policy program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. Prior to her acceptance into the program, she graduated with Honours in the International Bachelor of Arts program in Political Science from Glendon College – York University in 2020. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied at the University of West Indies Cave Hill Campus located in Barbados where she studied French and Caribbean Politics. Following her undergraduate degree, Libbey obtained a Bachelor of Education degree from Nipissing University in 2022 where she developed a passion for children’s education and education policy.

Through her experiences living abroad, Libbey developed a passion for human rights and policies aimed at securing adults and children around the world a safe and enjoyable life. Libbey believes that through her studies at the Balsillie School of International Affairs she will be provided with the critical thinking skills needed to create and implement public policy to create a more safe and secure world for people around the globe.

Following the completion of this degree Libbey’s goals are to assist in the creation of policies in Canada to better the lives of Canadians, specifically in the areas of accessibility to resources and education. Libbey envisions her future self obtaining a career with the Ontario Public Service specifically within the Ministry of Education.
