  University Profile

Before joining the University of Waterloo, Jean-Paul Lam was an Assistant Chief Economist and a Principal Researcher at the Bank of Canada. His research focuses on optimal monetary policy, in particular the design of monetary regimes under uncertainty and the Great Inflation of the 1970s. Recently, he has worked on the relationship between mortality and the business cycles.
