Canada’s International Climate Responsibilities: Our Role in Madrid

This community panel is part of Waterloo Region’s November Climate Strike (#ClimateStrikeWR).

This event will feature four incredible speakers from our community:

Samantha Estoesta (event MC), Equity Advocate
Andres Fuentes, Climate Action Network
Fanis Juma Radstake, Community Organizer, African Community Wellness Initiative (ACWI)
Lori Campbell, Director, Shatitsirótha’ of the Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre, University of Waterloo (UW)
Robert McLeman, Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies, Wilfrid Laurier University, and IPCC coordinating lead author

The event is hosted by several Laurier departments (Global Studies, Geography and Environmental Studies, and Political Science), Balsillie School of International Affairs’ (BSIA) “Decolonisation, Indigenous Peoples and the Globe” research cluster, UW’s department of Political Science, and the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) at UW.
