Thomas Gries graduated with Honours from the University of Lethbridge in June of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. While studying at Lethbridge, he primarily focused on European and American history, leading him to develop an interest in international affairs. 

After working as an English language teaching assistant through Canada’s Odyssey Program, Thomas decided to pursue an education at the Balsillie School of International Affairs in order to gain more understanding of international institutions and geopolitics and how they shape our modern world. 

While at BSIA, Thomas hopes to develop skills in researching, teamwork, and diplomacy to someday work in federal or provincial government.
