Daniela Agostinho is an exchange student in the Master of Arts in Global Governance program at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. She started her Master of Science in Asian Studies at Lund University, with a focus on East and Southeast Asia. 

Daniela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from the University of Lisbon. Within the programme, she had the opportunity to study abroad for two semesters at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies while being a JASSO scholarship recipient. During that period, not only did she gain more linguistic knowledge of Japanese, Korean and Thai languages but deepened her studies on East and Southeast asian cultures, politics and international relations. She is interested in the evolution and involvement of major asian powers in global governance as well as in soft power dynamics in the region.
