Breanna Cera Emard graduated with distinction from the Concordia University with a B.A. in Political Science and Community, Public Affairs and Policy Studies.
During the fall of 2018 Breanna was a student fellow at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS). MIGS is a leading think tank in Montreal, working in human rights, conflict, and emerging technologies. This allowed her the opportunity to further her interest in human rights and policy work. During her undergraduate degree Breanna also gained valuable experience by working as a full time public affairs intern at the U.S. consulate. During her time there she observed the inner workings of government.
Her current research interests include water politics, resources, indigenous people’s rights, global environment and social movements.
While at BSIA, Breanna hopes to further her knowledge on current issues and water politics and rights around the world.
