Suha Osman is a recent graduate from the University of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies and Political Science.

As someone who has spent their formative years between Canada and Sudan, Suha has grown up aware of the difficult and rewarding experiences of life in both nations as a global citizen and the pervasive nature of discrimination and injustice across societies. Witnessing the complex manifestations from a young age, a passion was instilled within her to act in defense of justice both domestically and internationally. These experiences shaped her interest in peace, conflict, and development, how these interplay with policy and economics, and how they translate to other societies.

While at Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA), Suha is eager to develop the skills necessary to branch into policy work as it equates to justice, and improve how we respond to and resolve inequities both domestically and internationally. She hopes to bring together research from a variety of disciplines offered at BSIA through pursuing a Specialization in International Economic Relations and Human Security to investigate how interdisciplinary approaches to policy will shape her for lifelong advocacy of human rights issues and speaking in defense of the marginalized.
