Anthony Samuels recently graduated from the University of Toronto receiving an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Political Science and History. During his studies, Anthony has written research papers on global affairs topics such as the militarization of space, as well as historical analysis papers on the application of just war theory and comparisons between different twentieth century civil conflicts.

Anthony has had a keen interest in global history and international politics since early on in his educational journey, pursuing these topics as part of a Liberal Arts collegiate degree at Marianopolis College CEGEP in Montreal. Since then, Anthony’s areas of interest have expanded to include topics in globalization, international development, and human security, especially in a global history context. In addition to his studies, Anthony has worked extensively in both the tourism and travel industries, developing skills in leadership, communication, organization, and finance, while also gaining a deeper understanding of global migration and international political economy.

Anthony is now looking to build upon his skills and education to achieve a Master of International Public Policy degree from the Balsillie School of International Affairs. At the BSIA, Anthony aims to specialize in the areas of human security and international economic development. In the future, Anthony hopes to play an important role in finding solutions for the shared international security and development issues of our time, in an increasingly globalized world.
